GAP - General Accounting Procedures
GL - General Ledger
POS - Point of Sale
Ledger - the book of accounts (physical paper)

Pretty much the "bean counter stuff" I work in regularly.

As far as a "blind faith in "computers", I think that is a misrepresentation of my position and although I cannot speak for everyone here, certainly not my take on the general attitude of the CF examiners I know.

GIGO is not limited to computers. GIGO is present in paper bookkeeping, manufacturing, whatever. It is also present in the world of physical evidence. If the crime scene tech misses evidence, does not categorize it, whatever, it is still "GI."

CF is a science. As such our results need to be reproducible. If I rely on "GI", and another examiner finds an error in my methodology, or what I have put into the system I get called out on my error. Just the same as in the world of physical evidence. However I, and I presume the rest of the members of this forum, work in a world of computers and digital evidence. To go on blindly thinking and proselytizing that only "real evidence" is to be relied upon shows at best a level of naivety. And if that is truly your belief I question why you work in this field.

First I would imagine that any "pornographic" language on this forum would be censored (often automatically by the forum software). But this is really a question about your locale. Is posting "pornographic" language a crime in Ireland?
