Bit of a shot in the dark this one but,
Has anyone had any experience with bypassing the pin with the LG L40 mobile phone?
I have one and the phone is pin locked and appears that USB debugging is not enabled and that the USB is set to charge only.
The usual tools such as UFED / XRY / Oxygen wont connect. We may be looking at JTAG or possibly chip off in the future with this one and this phone will be part of a research project. If anyone has any recommendations of other tools that may be of use that would be appreciated.

So I thought i'd post this for future reference as we have been provided information to process this phone.
XRY supports the LG D329L which is a very similar phone.
If you connect the phone to your PC when it is powered off and holding the volume down button, this will place the phone in update mode. XRY can then do a physical extraction using the D329L protocols.
I tried processing the phone using Oxygen and UFED in the same manner but with no success.

I'm doing some test recently about how to deal with those android phones which usb debugging mode not on or not rooted.
There is a way to overcome challenges as above.
you need to
1.Write a program to crack pattern lock, like android_puzzle_unlock did…
2.Put the crack app and recovery img into sdcard.
3.Press [Power] and [Volume] down to get into recovery mode, apply update from sdcard to install third party recovery.
4.Get into third party recovery just installed and install crack pattern lock app.
5.Read the gesture.key and use dictionary attack to crack the pattern lock…done.
