need to recover sms messages. Cellebrite not detecting phone.
Bitpim not listing model.
anyone have experience with this phone. Tracphone, 03/16 manufacture date.
It has att&t sim card.
I believe first hurdle is getting it into mtp mode. It is airplane mode. but not detecting any USB connection other than charging.

With this phone I don't think you will get results over the USB connector.

Extract a dump with JTAG / Chip-off and import that in your favorite analyzer software.

was hoping that would not be option, but probably doesn't matter as it is a $10 phone

Data from a $10 phone can save lives or sometimes it can worth millions !

Tackleberry,

I see the phones User Guide can be downloaded here http//www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-LG328BG

P.23 states

• Copy to SIM/Copy to phone You can copy the message to the phone or SIM card depending on where the text message is stored.
• Move to SIM/Move to phone You can move the message to the phone or SIM card depending on where the text message is stored

So, you could perhaps copy (not move) all messages and other desired content to a cloned SIM card and then extract the copied evidence from the SIM card itself using your favorite tool of choice.

Another though is to try a trial version of Compelson's MOBILedit Forensic, which covers a lot of LG brand feature phones and historical phones.
