I was just wondering if anyone has any experience installing and getting libewf working with mount_ewf.py and could just shed some guidance?

I am getting quite a few errors and think I will be resorting to installing it on Linux but if I could get it running on Mac OS X it would be great.

Thank you for your help in advance.

mount_ewf.py uses the fuse. I haven't a clue about running it on a mac but I would start with checking if you have fuse

FWIW I was never able to get it running on OSX but a buddy of mine sitting right next to me with the exact same setup had no issues. I guess YMMV.

Ive installed OSXFUSE but still getting errors due to the Python Fuse not being installed. I attempted to install Python Fuse available from Fuse but ended up with errors.

I am currently installing an Ubuntu VM so I will try it on that. Thanks for your help guys.

If you install MacPorts you can then install py-fuse.

I installed MacPorts but still got errors when installing py-fuse.

In the end I opted to use an Ubuntu VM. I was able to use fuse and libewf with no hassle.

I will attempt to get it working on Os X when I have some free time.
