I am having difficulty linking a Micro SD card to a Macintosh computer. The Memory card has a Spotlight-V100 folder within its root, so i know it has been conected to a Macintosh at some point (it is possible the memory card could have been connected via a Blackberry).
I have 3 possible Macs to test against, and have looked through the com.apple.finder.plst for conected media, however all attempts have proved negative.
Are there any other plists that could hold information about the memory card that could be present on a Macintosh which could confirm or deny a link?
Secondly, is there any information held within the Spotlight-V100 folder that could link it to a certain Macintosh?
potentially /Users/username/Library/Preferences/com.apple.sidebarlists.plist
ive been given a usb before and asked to find any sort of apple identification in the hidden files left behind but havent had any luck
will be interested to see what you find
Thanks, I will give it a try Monday and let you know the results.
/Users/username/Library/Preferences/com.apple.sidebarlists.plist did not contain any evidence to link the files. However, using the Memory card volume label in conjunction with 'fseventsd' and 'glgenorator' I was able to link live files on memory card to metadata contained primarily within a deleted (but recoverable) 'glgenorator' file on the Mac computer.
