Is is possible to rebuild a linux software raid 0 using encase? When editing disc config, the striped matter will not populate in teh entries box? Any suggestions?

Greetings,

Use something other than EnCase? It really isn't the best tool for the job. I'd use Raid Reconstructor or X-Ways.

You probably only have EnCase so this probably isn't very helpful…

Encase won't automatically work out the striping size or other RAID information, you need to put the values in manually. That said, if you know it's RAID 0, you should be able to try a few values (32k, 64k, 128k, … etc) until you find the right value.

If you want a free option to reconstruct the raid, try Pyflag.
