Next week, we are updating our iPhone Forensics white paper (we are starting on an Android Forensics white paper in June). We want to make sure we have a complete list of apps to test. If you know of any we missed, I appreciate letting me know.

- UFED (Cellebrite)
- Device Seizure (Paraben)
- MacLock Pick (SubRosaSoft)
- MDBackup Extract (BlackBag Tech)
- Physical DD (Jonathan Zdziarski)
- .XRY
- CellDEK
- Oxygen Forensics for iPhone
- Lantern (Katana Forensics)
- iXAM (FTS)
- iPhone Extractor (Agape)
- BK Forensics

If you have not downloaded the free white paper, you can do at the following link…updates will be posted there too. Thanks all.

Hi Andrew,

It does not appear that the white paper was updated recently or am I missing something?

Also wanted to suggest adding MobileSyncBrowser (http//homepage.mac.com/vaughn/msync/download.html). It's not really in the same league as the other utilities you reviewed, but might be nice to include.

The updated white paper is complete…we were going to post earlier this week but got slammed with some vulnerabilities testing. I expect to have it out next week. Thanks.

I attended a presentation at PFIC yesterday on iOS forensics, featuring iBackup Bot. The free version works great if you don't mind nag screens.
