Hi everyone,
I'm been using Live View 0.7b to create configuration files and boot captured VMware .vmdk files (Used FTK imager to capture the .vmdk in DD format)
I'm trying to repeat the process with a Virtual PC 2007 .vhd file. Again I've captured .vhd file using FTK imager in DD format.
My questions are
1. Is there alternative to Live View so I can boot the .vhd file?
2. Is there possibly another method I could use?

Bit doing a bit of research on this and it seems like Windows 7 can mount and boot .vhd. However I'm looking for something to work in Windows XP.

Have you tried
You will need to mount your image first (latest FTK Imager may be sufficient for this).

I managed to find a work around.
WinImage allows you to convert the .vhd into .vmdk. I then used Live View again and hey presto it worked )
Just for the record a "plain" .vhd image, is simply a RAW image (dd like) with appended a single sector.

If you need to convert a dd RAW image to .vhd, raw2vhd may be even handier
