I've posted here before, a long while ago.
Anyway, I went and locked my phone, I changed the pass code after 9 months and used a "pattern" and didn't look or take note of the numbers and since it's on 4 hr lockout I don't always have to enter it because I'm ALWAYS on the phone. Phone went dead and when it charged there was the keypad and I said "oh crap!"
I would like some recommendations for prorams to use to get off messages, contacts, voicemails, notes. I have all the pics already. That was easy (thru My Computer)
I've dried Decipher Tools but it only loads from Backup not the phone itself. (and IDK if it even gets the other stuff aside from pics and messages).
I've tried DiskAid and that worked BETTER but I'm getting an error message for everything but pics (which I have already)
I applied for a free copy of Oxygen Forensics Suite and now I have to wait 5 days for that. Oh joy, lol Maybe it'll be less.
any other programs anyone can recommend?
In case anyone is concerned that I may have stole this phone, I didn't. I'm a 42 yr old single mom, I work in Retail Hardware for 21 years and I have no concern to steal a phone, lol. If u search MacRumours, HowardForums I already posted there (under the same Moniker) about this. I may have posted in the Apple forums, but I don't think I did yet. If you're STILL concerned U can email me thru my profile and I'll give u my real name and u can check out my facebook profile which fully documents my journey. I'm just saying this because I noticed that every time someone posts somewhere they "forgot" their pass code they get flamed for "stealing" the phone. Believe u me– if I stole the phone, I'd just restore it and could care less about what's on it.
Thanks a bunch. Apple says I can ONLY restore the phone and I intend to prove them WRONG! 😉 Ok, eventually, I will restore the phone, but I am going to get all my stuff off first.
Thanks for any help
Oh ps– are there any other forums I can post on for help as well? Thanks
assuming you havent recently synced it and backed it up to your computer, you could probably just plug it in and do it that way
if i recall you can change the passcode on an iphone and it will still be able to sync to the computer, provided that you had had a passcode previously (the first time you ever have a passcode i think it asks you for it).
so have you tried plugging it into your computer with itunes running and seeing if it syncs?
then you may be able to do a restore and get the data off it (although that may return the passcode as well, im not sure)
the other way is to try iexplorer - http//
As far as I'm aware there is currently no way to bypass/recover the 4 digit pass lock for an iPhone 4S.
Cellebrite, XRY or iXam are generally the best when it comes to recovering/bypassing this and none of them have found the solution yet.
In any case given your situation I'm guessing you don't want to spend thousands of dollars for a forensic tool to use once.
If you can't restore from an earlier backup I think you may be stuck )
