Hi,

I am currently looking to see if it is possible to parse the created date from a .M4A file that was created on an iOS device?

The file has been copied to another disk surface losing its original metadata (created/modified etc).

Does anyone know if this information is stored within the file?

Thanks

Just check if there is in your file

Jaclaz,

Thanks for your reply.

Your links helped me navigate to a (GUI driven) program called called Media Info

http//mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo

This program can strip the encoded date and other such info from M4As.

Once again thanks for your help.
