I opened a mac book air. Inside there's a ssd samsung hard drive. I want to connect it to a wiebetech sata/ide writeblocker.
Which is the correct adaptor?

Thanks

I think if I'm not wrong, you will need a LIF adapter.

Check out OWC.

Specifically you are looking for something along the lines of "OWC Mercury Elite Pro mini FireWire 800/400+USB2+eSATA Bus-Powered Enclosure Solution 0GB for Apple MacBook Air 2010 & 2011 Flash Drive (SSD)"

or this one

"OWC Mercury On-The-Go USB 3.0/2.0 External Enclosure for Apple MacBook Air 2010 & 2011 Flash Storage"

All you really need is the small adapter (see the section "Includes" on the product page) but so far I have been unable to find one that I can buy without buying the case as well.

I have used these half a dozen times lately and they work like a charm with my TD1, a 256GB Samsung SSD imaged in about 59minutes.

I had a live chat with owc they say
"OWC Mercury On-The-Go USB 3.0/2.0 External Enclosure for Apple MacBook Air 2010 & 2011 Flash Storage"
is not suitable for this drive.

For this occasion you may have already been taken care of but you also might want to check out tha SATA LIF adapter from Digital Intelligence.

http//www.digitalintelligence.com/cart/ComputerForensicsProducts/SATA-LIF-Adapter.html

In addition there is an adapter available for the new Macbook Air's that have the Blade-Type SSD storage (sometimes referred to as gumstick SSDs)

http//www.digitalintelligence.com/products/blade_type_adapter/

Both adapters convert to a standard SATA interface and can be used directly with your existing write blocker.
