For my finial year project I need to create a piece of software. I'm wondering if there is a piece of software that recovers Facebook chat for the Mac, I can't seem to find any but if anyone knows it would be you guys? If there is, is there any other piece of software that would be helpful for the Mac or even Windows. I would be using either Java or C++ and have about 300 hours to spend on it. Thanks for you help in advance.

There is IEF for Windows that can recover Facebook information including live chat fragments.

Right. However IEF can be run a physical disk so it would be a worthwhile effort to run on a mounted Mac image to view the results.

Your countrymen in the sausage factory have some interesting information about FBC and its JSON format (JavaScript Object Notation).
