Hey, I am just starting out in Computer Forensics and I am wondering what some good magazines or trade journals you would recommend subsrcibing to. I don't know too much so any info would greatly help. Thanks!
Any idea where/how I should search for it….I did some basic searches but didn't really come up with anything. I'd be glad to do the research but I have been drawing blanks, sorry for the noob question
Forensicon…
Search for what?
Thanks!!!

Yeah, there was a lot of that, wasn't there? Not a lot of "I'd be willing to contribute", though, was there?
I'd be willing to contribute some interesting things I've found with Windows Vista. Like for example that the start of the logical drive can now be configured to any sector on the hard drive. So sector 63 may not be where to find the partition table for that 1st logical drive.
As always, short (or long!) articles are more than welcome for publication here and may be sent to me directly, thanks.

Perhaps, rather than developing something new, it would be a better idea to use existing resources. For example, this site. Or, for things specific to Windows as mentioned by omagico, the Windows Forensic Analysis group on Yahoo.

Yep, that's fine by me. I'm more than happy to consider any suggestions for changes or additions to the site too if people think that would be useful.

I would be willing to contribute as well. I do not have a lot of forensic experience or qualifying initials. However, I was performing computer forensics before it obtained an official name – it was just part of computer security or COMPUSEC and only senior tech "geeks" knew about these techniques.
As for content - personally, I would like to see more procedures and techniques to include analytical rationale.
