> …qualifying initials

That's funny. I'm putting together some training materials to take to a client site soon, and the thing that hits me is that I was asked to provide "IR 101" training, "just like SANS" (never been), and most of the folks attending the training are SANS certified. To me, "qualifying initials" is an oxymoron, like "military intelligence" or "jumbo shrimp".

H, lighten up some! No diggs intended! I happen to like jumbo shrimp and the new and improved TIDE. It took me 33 years to get a couple of initals after my name – and I am proud of what I accomplished! An if I'm lucky I'll have a couple more in a year and half – BS Computer & Digital Forensics. Ole dogs can learn new tricks!

I do not know what to say about those certified SANS students you will be teaching? I found the training very functional. My GOLD project took almost 5 months to complete – my own doing! My project was more complicated than I initially proposed. However, I will be using the product in my current business endeavor's.

Some folks are afraid to apply what they learn. They need more reenforcement before they take those first baby steps. I alway keep an open mind about training – I always try to learn something. I learned to turn a styrofoam cup inside-out at one conference.

Hope your class goes well )
