Hello Guys…,

I am suffering from some unusual processes running on my PC. I think that, a malicious code is installed on it and I'm unable to find it out… Even after formatting the disk, the process remains same… can anyone plz tell me how to find it out and terminate it…???

Can you be more specific about the "unusual processes"?

Have you explored booting from any of the live CDs and analyzing the system from that environment?

shanvaidya, it does help if you can identify for everyone

What are the processes that are running that you say are unusual?

What OS are you using?

Are there any external devices connected to your system?

etc

Thanks

- Sorry to repeat some of your questions Bithead, when I started typing there had been no other replies - I must be a slow typer….

Google is your friend … results here

I dont know the exact configuration of your machine, but if you check out some of those links from google you should be able to find out some more info.

One of that process is "inetinfo.exe"

Jesus was a first responder, and he once said, "Man does not live by process names alone." Seriously.

What is the path to the image executable? Under the right circumstances, inetinfo.exe could be a legitimate app.

Google is a good resource…but only after you've pulled enough info together to be able to use it appropriately.
