I am asking any of you for suggestions for metadata software concerning movies found a computer. Example user shot a movie of an event and I'd like to see the metadata to get information about the camera used if available. I'm using encase to investigate the case. Up to this point, Google searches are not turning up any good hits.

Thanks ahead of time.

You may be able to find some information using a hex editor, but something similar to EXIF in photos is tough to find in videos. You might be able to get an idea of the codecs used, but we haven't had too much luck tracing videos back to a specific camera unless we find remnants of like material between, say, a computer and a camera connected to it.

Having said that, if you do find something that works, let us all know.

Some things you might consider

http//atomicparsley.sourceforge.net/

Don't know if this one will work for you, but I did see it mentioned

There might also be something useful here

Thanks guys, I'll check out the links and If I turn anything up I'll post the results. So far I'm not finding anything useful in the hex.
