Does anyone have any experience removing a hard drive from a Mobile Data Terminal housed inside a patrol car? I am not sure the manufacturer or model yet. I am just trying to find out some info before the case kicks off later this week. ?

I know the ones our department has in cruisers are nothing more than Toshiba toughbooks. Standard laptops…..
I am sure other departments use other things however.

Same for our department. I think you are going to find that tough books are going to set the standards. In most cases departements, from what I have been told, have gone away from perm mount to laptops with docking stations. Makes it easier for repairs and gives the officer the option of taking the computer with him when he leaves the vehicle.
