Hi Everyone,
I am currently in the middle of my dissertation in my final year of university, it is titled 'Mobile Phone Analysis'
I'l be performing mobile phone investigations on devices with iOS, Android and BlackBerry. The software I will be using is MobilEDIT Forensic.
Simply a post if anybody had any tips, informations, methods etc. Anything will be a help to me as I havent done anything like it before.
Thanks! D
Hi
I don't want to sound negative but I really think you need to narrow your subject down. 'Mobile Phone Analysis' is way too broad for a dissertation in my opinion.
I started my dissertation expecting to work on forensic artifacts left by P2P software. I soon realised it was way to broad and narrowed it down to a given set of BitTorrent clients. I would pick something more specific and really go to town on it.
Im basically just researching the method for all three OS and then documenting it as user guide type if this is what you meant. I'l then be reporting on what data I found with that particular software.

again way too broad, find out how many operating systems blackberry have released, how many for android and how many for apple. you will then realise that including live data and hex dumps you couldn't fill a book rather than a dissertation.
It will be iOS 5, Android 2.2.1, and im unsure which one for BlackBerry yet I havent researched that one as of yet. Sorry should have included that in the first bit.
Thanks for your suggestions D
