I am building my own forensic station. Do you have any ideas or tips on motherboard worth investing in? IMHO the m-board should have features for SATA, PATA, SCSI, USB2, Firewire 400/800, Diskette!, CD/DVD, LAN, sound, 2 Gb memory and as option (add-on) ZIP-drive, DAT, etc
I plan to spend about less than 500 USD, but price isn't the problem 😉
Anyone - any suggestions.

Be sure and get a gigabit lan. Network acquisitions via Linen (Encase's Linux application) are very fast.
