Having tried various software products in an attempt to retrieve deleted messages from this phone, does anyone have any other options. AT&T no SIM card? Deleted a couple months ago, I know there are very slim chances, any other ideas?

You don't mention which packages you've tried so far, but on these P2K Motorolas I've had lots of sucess with XACT in the past.

The new Cellebrite Physical Analyser supports this handset - not tried it myself yet though for this model. I have had a lot of success with other Motos

Flash&Backup, Smartmoto, etc. Obtain the binary file and then parse with BK Forensics Cellphone Analyzer or with your favorite FTK, or Encase.
