Hi Experts,

I was wondering if there is any tool that might help mounting hard drives having one of the linux filesystems in the windows environment. I was using FTK to add the disk and expand the partitions to see the content but certain drives dont let me expand the partitions.

Not sure where I'm going wrong or is it just the nature/limitation of the filesystem for this particular OS.

You don't say whether you tried this, but if you use FTK Imager image mounting, when you get to the 'Mount Method' change from the default 'Block Device/Read Only' to the bottom option of 'file system' (can't remember the exact phrase).

Which one? Anyone? or every file system?

And which file systems are on the list of linux filesystems?

Ah, so that's the problem.

You may want to check the list of file systems that are supported by Windows. Next check the list of file systems that FTK supports.

If the file system you're interested in is not of any of those lists … why should it work at all?

You could use FTK v6 or above to mount this Linux evidence instead of using FTK Imager. FTK v6 won't disappoint you.
