(Posted with Jamies kind permission)

Hi guys, I hope you dont mind me asking any of you that can afford a few pounds/dollars/euros for a charity contribution to the Movember prostate cancer appeal.

The spiel from the organisation is below, but basically I get to try and grow a mussie (never had one in 50 years) for a month, no matter how embarassing it turns out to be.

Anything you can afford to donate to this worthwhile charity would be appreciated.

www.mobro.co/paulrsanderson

Thank You
Paul

It's Movember, the month formerly known as November, now dedicated to growing moustaches and raising awareness and funds for men's health; specifically prostate and testicular cancer. I'm donating my top lip to the cause for 30 days in an effort to help change the face of men's health. My Mo will spark conversations, and no doubt generate some laughs; all in the name of raising vital awareness and funds for cancer's affecting men.

Why am I so passionate about men's health?
* 1 in 9 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime
* This year 37,000 new cases of the disease will be diagnosed
* 1 in 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime
* 26% of men are less likely to go the doctor compared to women

I'm asking you to support my Movember campaign by making a donation by either
*Donating online at http//www.mobro.co/paulrsanderson
*If you want to go old school you can write a cheque payable to 'Movember', reference my name and Registration Number 1787064 and send it to Movember Europe, PO Box 68600, London, EC1P 1EF
If you'd like to find out more about the type of work you'd be helping to fund by supporting Movember, take a look at the Programmes We Fund section on the Movember website uk.movember.com/about

Thank you in advance for supporting my efforts to change the face of men's health.

Cheers Paul

A quick update

I’ll be doing a draw at the end of Movember for all CF practitioners that donate. There will be one free copy of SkypeAlyzer or one free copy of LinkAlyzer for the first two names drawn out of the hat. If you want to be entered please make sure that you donate with your own name, leave a message when you donate with your forum name or pm/email me to say that you have donated.

A picture of the progress so far is below, if you can call it progress.

This years Movember appeal is up to approx £8.5M and I have raised a fantastic £502 so far, a goodly part down to the generosity of people on this forum. There is still a good opportunity to a free copy of our software for the first two donaters (is that a real word) drawn out of a hat at the end of the charity drive (1 December)

The software choice is now for one copy of your choice of - SkypeAlyzer, LinkAlyzer, VidReport, PmExplorer or RevEnge

I have a couple of "pledges" that will take me to about £650 when they come in but would love to make it to £1000 so please consider donating with the possibility of a free copy of our software - just let me know whether you would like to be included in the draw when you donate

The link to donate is http//mobro.co/paulrsanderson

The rather dodgy looking Mo is displayed below

Out of interest, did you get any uptick in donations after the link to this thread was included in the newsletter yesterday (or was it the day before - I'm getting old)? Perhaps I should have given it more prominence.

Jamie

I am pleased to announce that the names drawn out of the hat were Bill Lindlay and Harry Parsonage. The software the requested is already with them.

I am also pleased to announce that I raised a fantastic £716.66 for the charity and that approx £15M was raised in the UK and 65M worldwide.

Thanks again all who donated.
