Instead of downloading the setup tool here is a portable version Here

It creates a folder in the TEMP dir, called "fan"

Is there a more complete version of this software, but also freeware (Including passwords, installed add-ons) ??

The application Historian supports Mozilla Firefox 3.x databases too.

You can download it at http//www.gaijin.at/dlhistorian.php.

It is portable and no installation required. Available in English, German, Dutch and Japanese.

An English description of supported formats is available on this Forensic Focus post.

The software license restricts anyone from redistributing FoxAnalysis. I assume it was yourself who put the .exe file on the website - please remove it.

One of the reasons for distributing FoxAnalysis with an installer is to provide the user with the ability to install required software such as the .net framework if they don't already have it.

If people think a portable version is preferred I can always create an official one and host it on the FoxAnalysis website

Additional functionality will be added to FoxAnalysis shortly, if you have any suggestions please e-mail them

Thanks

Thanks, I like to look at other software for ideas. I don't reverse engineer, or steal peoples code, but that is one way that I can verify my results or get ideas for future programs that I write. For now, with all of the information that you have all provided, the following is the list of files that I will be getting information from with F3 (FireFox Forensics) program that I am currently developing. cookies.sqlite, downloads.sqlite, formhistory.sqlite, permissions.sqlite, places.sqlite, compatibility.ini, extensions.ini, prefs.js, and user.js. Also will include the persdict.dat. When completed will have back compatibility with FireFox 2. Same as foensic-software. If you have any ideas or suggestions, especially on reporting, please feel free to leave a message or e-mail. Thanks!!! )

I donwnloaded your program, FoxAnalysis from your site. Really nice program! Keep up the good work. As a developer myself I know how much work went into that. I do have a suggestion for you, though this is not the place to post it. I'll leave you a private message.
