Reviewing connected USB devices on a Win 7 machine and I see the following in the setup.dev.log file
MTP USB Device (with a serial number that looks more like a Hash)
No other information on this. Could this be a smartphone-related device?

More than likely, although it could also be any device which uses the Media Transfer Protocol (which is quite a few).

I had seen this Wiki and was wondering why the device that was used wit this MTP item is not listed anywhere in the logs. So for example if an Android device was used, why is it only showing up as MTP device and doesn't specify Android?
