Question 2 Pasco
The other way of inspecting information inside the index.dat is to use application called PASCO which parses information inside the file and sends to delimited text files that can be imported elsewhere.
Copy the file Documents and Settings/amy/Local Settings/Temporary Internet Files/Content.IE5/index.dat to /home/caine/evidence/index.dat. You need to use ifind and icat. In ifind, use the "-n" flag with the full file pathname in quotes.

Anyone reckon we need a new forum for homework questions?
Why is it a problem if someone asks a homework question?
I don't think it's a problem posting a homework question - forums like this are a great source of information that may not be readily available elsewhere.
What people do have a problem with, is people wanting to get the answers spoonfed to them. I've seen people post up sections of code, disk images and entire questions, wanting people to give them the answer. If that happens, the student doesn't learn anything - they certainly won't be able to explain how they got that answer if the lecturer asks!
