Thanks for sharing Paul, appreciated. However, I can't see it on your web site? It's not on the home page you linked to or the software page. ? ? ?

If you go to the forum you will see it there under Free Software.

Paul,

I'll look forward to trying a new Sanderson forensic tool, and thanks for making it a freebie !

I haven't had the chance to look yet but can it carve prefetch files aswell ?

Oledeconstruct, MFTView, LinkAlyzer and SkypeAlyzer are great tools that have some good mileage in my casework over the years, thanks for continuing with the excellent work.

I think we have all benefited from those in the community who take it upon themselves to research an area and release a tool which makes all of our lives easier. I know that in the past I have used both Paul's and Harlan's tools to good effect and have a certain respect for the work and contribution they have both made to this community.

I am not going to try and second guess anybody's motives for posting what they do on these forums.

This does remind me of one of those humorous men's rules for women things that people email out which includes the line -
"If something we said can be interpreted two ways, and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the other one. "

I hope that may be the case here.

The quotes below sort of make me take things personally -

Paul, once again, I am very sorry that things went the way they did…it was never my intention for you to take any of this personally. I have nothing but the greatest respect for what you do, and what you've shared with the community.

When I asked what you'd be adding with respect to the Windows 8 .pf files, your initial response was "I have an idea from reading a few blogs…"; I was hoping that for the benefit of the community, you could share what you'd learned from those blogs.

That's it…nothing more. Again, I apologize that things went the way they did. It was completely unnecessary. Thank you for your contributions to the community.
