I'm a CCE!
Just had to tell you because, well, I'm telling everyone. lol This was a lot of work for me but SO worth it in the end. Through this process I have principally learned how little I know and how much there is to know. I came here often to research answers to stupid questions, so thank you to everyone who shares their knowledge here and elsewhere.
Congratulations!
All the best for the future -)

Congrats! )
Congrats!
Anyway you could list your top 5 study materials? I think that would be great.
Congrats! I'm currently going through the test myself.
Congratulations!
I'm still doing the online self-study. Can't wait to finish it off
Congrats - did you do self-study via a training provider? if so, can you share which one you used? Always good to know what's working and what's not.
Cheers
Thanks everyone!!
Well, my background is *not* IT, so this may not apply to everyone. I'm an eDiscovery consultant (looking for work - alas, business could be better), but have been more on the training/advice end than the hands-on aspects up to now. I got into this via the paralegal and lit support route. So my technical skills are not as strong as some (many?) here.
So, studies
1. CompTIA A+ cert. Just to make sure I know the difference between SATA and USB 😉
2. CCE bootcamp at Champlain College; taught by Gary Kessler
3. Read
Carrier's File System Forensic Analysis
Casey's Digital Forensics & Investigation
Carvey's Windows Forensic Analysis
(Is having a last name beginning with "C" a prerequisite to being in forensics?!?)
4. Reread above books until I felt like I had some idea of what they were talking about.
5. General research here & at other reputable blogs looking for answers to questions I was too embarrassed to post.
Congrats!
Hey Congrats! I just got mine completed last month too! )
