Question for UK colleagues,
just heard from a client that they are to give evidence in a Newton hearing and have asked us to submit a summary of our findings re several PCs and phones.
Newton hearings are new to me, basic research indicates they are an unusual procedure compared to the standard prosecution trial. With no further guidance, I will produce a basic reports as per suitable for a standard prosecution,

Newton hearings are where the defendant has pleaded guilty based on the wording of the charge but disputes some elements of the facts of the case. I don't think it's in front of a jury.

I would certainly be doing a standard report/statement but obviously be keen to find out what the disputed facts were.

Hope that helps and good luck.
