We have got a Nokia 5228. Oxygen Forensic doesn't extract the list of calls. The owner of the phone deleted a lot of received and sent SMS of a specific day.
I want to obtain them. Which is the best sofware? Is there something freeware?
bestregards

sebastianorossi,

The handset is running Symbian OS which means that between 1 and 30 days after the calls were made/received, the handset will automatically delete the call records.

XRY should be able to get the live data stored off fairly easily (it is listed as 'UNTESTED' but you should be able to use another Symbian profile such as the 5230 or N95.

As far as obtaining deleted items is concerned, you may be able to use Advanced Turbo Flasher to obtain a read of the flash chip.

Hope that helps,

Josh

Thank you for your answer. Luckly we don't need the calls. We have got the original list of calls and SMS from the telephone operator.
Should be useful retrieve the text of the SMS receveid. I will study XRY.
What about UFED?
thanks

Should you require analysis and/or acquisition of a memory image obtained for this handset, then we can assist with this (FTS UK Ltd).

Please PM me a message for a quote.

UFED does supports this model in logical extraction and it will probably be among those that will be added with soon with physical support.

PM me with your email address and I will send you the complete list of UFED supported models both logical and physical.
