Mobiles are not our area of forensics so I hope someone can advise.
A friend of mine has a Nokia 6230i mobile telephone and some important SMS messages have been deleted. If its possible what would be the best way to recover these?

it is possible to do a 'pm' read of the phone in which you take a hex dump of the phones physical memory. Pandoras box is a tool used to decode the hex and i believe you can get this tool on a 30 day trial however you will need the kit to take the hex dump the phone itself. 'Pandoras box' specialises in the nokia series of mobile phones so there should be a chance you may be able to find your deleted messages within the pm file.
