BitHead,

I located the file you directed me to yesterday. After attempting to open it both through the Windows GUI and through the command line I was unable to open the program. After doing some research I am assuming that this file is corrupted. I am going to download a trial version of Norton 360 and either try to pull the logs into the new version or replace the old version with the new cclgview.exe file. Thanks for the info, I think this is just what I was looking for if I can get it to work.

Let me know. I have a client that I used to do network maintenance for that uses 360 and I can look at one of their machines if that does not work out.

BitHead,

I downloaded a trial version of Norton 360 on another PC and replaced the logviewer file. These logs however were of security issues (firewall activity, network connections, etc.). I really do appreciate the information though. We are currently trying to work with Norton more on this issue but we have run into some problems with them wanting the subscription code and that possibly violating laws because Norton would then be accessing the account of the person in question. Thank you for the advice, we will keep trying to wear Norton down into getting us an unlock code or something.

ACarr31,

I have sent you a solution via PM that should resolve the problem at hand and any legal issues from Norton.

Thanks & Regards,

Thank you everyone for the help. After much discussion with Norton and the District Attorney for our County, Norton agreed to renew the subscription for the suspect's account long enough for us to view the settings that we needed. We were able to replicate the deputy's results. Thanks again for all the help everyone.

Happy to know everything went OK. )

After all the Symantec guys are not as bad twisted as they are usually depicted, sometimes a bit of optimism is all is needed. D

Though of course IMHO they should be put to jail for having created Norton 360. wink
