We have come across the same problem with file creation dates from an old Power Macintosh 7300 as in the thread below.

We looked at this hard drive image through Encase, FTK imager and FTK3 and all of them show different dates ranging from 1992 to even some files that were created in 2092.
Has anyone come across this before?

We finally received our new mac we got the entry level Macbook. I mounted that image of the old PowerPC Macintosh 7300/166 in the new Macbook and I see that those documents do not have any creation dates or modified dates.
Do you know why they would have no dates on them?
Was it the way the old HFS file system stored dates and times?
Maybe a setting on the old PowerPC that did not store these dates?
