Hi guys!
I got HDD to work for a case ! problm is HDD is not working and I tried 2 change the board but still not working….
I do wanna chance to change the head……. is it possible ?
or any article about that ?
thank you
what's the exact problem you are encountering?
Hi Rampage!
The Hard disk is not working … not readable….I need to recover data from the Hard disk.
I was trying to change head…but its not working……
i know it doesn't work, but wich issue is it presenting?
spin up lock?
noises while trying to read & I/O errors
not recognized by BIOS/external bridge?
Yea, if you don't know how to change the head, you probably shouldn't be doing so. Opening a hard drive is a good way to destroy the drive unless you have the facilities and know-how.
Send it to a specialist. It'll cost a small fortune I'm sure, but if the case is important enough, it's money well spent. If the case isn't important enough, there isn't anything you can do.

@Abdulcadir
Post EXACT HD make and model
Try running the Manufacturer's test on it and post results.
DESCRIBE what happens when you
- power it up (noise, vibrations, clickong, beeping, etc.)
- try detecting it in BIOS
- try accessing it from an OS
Additionally to NOT EVEN THINKING of replacing heads as a DIY (unless you know how to do it, but then you wouldn't be here asking how to do it), DO NOT EVEN THINK to exchange boards, in most modern hard disk it will never work (unless you use particular procedures) and it may well ruin the data on the hard disk beyond ANY possible recover.

Abdulcadir,
Please put the hard drive down and send it to someone who knows what they are doing! If your not sure what the HDD problem is then you could kill it and ruin your case
Sorry for the unhelpful advice but if you don't know, DON'T
Esspecially with the prospect of having to explain why you destroyed original evidence in court.
I quote from the ACPO Guidelines
Principle 2 In exceptional circumstances, where a person finds it necessary to access original data held on a computer or on storage media, that person must be competent to do so and be able to give evidence explaining the relevance and the implications of their actions.
Everyone has to learn I know, but please don't learn from your mistakes at someone elses expence
If you've changed the board, you need to change it back as the ROM chip will not be recognised on the BIOS, hence why its not being recognised.
Also, to change the board you need an exact mlc, model and SN number board duplicate, also normally date codes must match.
If you've changed the heads and its clicking, its pretty much too late unless you manage to again swap the heads (need duplicate disk). I would not recommend this, it took me many test attempts to finally master this, and still success is only 60-70% of the time…and I did it in a data recovery company!
Thank you Rampage!
problem is noises… first things is I need to be recognize by BIOS/external bridge.
