Good Day All,
I have a Sprint LG Optimus S LS670 that I want to perform a physical extraction on using an open source tool before using one of the big name tools such as EnCase, Oxygen, UFED, etc.
The issue i'm running into is that the phone was reset back to factory. Can an extraction still be performed with an open source tool or will I need one of the big names to perform a physical extraction.
I'm a forensics student and I'm trying to perfect my craft and subject myself to headaches in the process. I gave the phone to a friend to load the phone with as much data as he could in a week then wipe the phone so I can try to extract the data. Any and all help would be great. Thanks in advance.
