Open Source Intel

Another thread mentioned the CheckMate e-zine, and someone responded that the article on tracing emails was incorrect.

One of the open-source resources I've used for years has been the Data2Know newsletter, available from http//www.data2know.com. The fall 2005 newsletter has an article on tracing emails

For those interested in such things, as well as open-source info gathering, check out the archived newsletters. Keep in mind that this is mostly directed toward LEOs and govvies, but the information is solid, and very good. If you get a chance, you should also see Cynthia present.
