I was just wondering about general opinions on Logicube's Celldek Tek.
From my experience with it over the last few months I find it to be a rather poor product. I base this mostly on the fact that there's no way to analyze the data that is retrieved (when it is able to). It seems that it is too simplistic to be used as a serious forensic tool.
If there are differing opinions about the Celldek Tek I would like to hear them. I freely admit that I am a novice in this field but I think that my company made a bad decision when it came to purchasing this product.
Agreed with the bad decision.
What was your company trying to accomplish where they thought this would be a good tool?
That will help get more to the point answers for ya.
Without going into too much detail the initial idea was to be able to acquire the content from the cellphone and use it for disciplinary action/prosecution.
The problem is that the "over 1600 phones" that it works with are all rather dated. The output that the Celdek software produces could be done by just going through the phone.
The going into detail part is what allows others to help you.
Fewer details allow for little to go on and your question probably not getting answered the way you want.
Device Seizure is a nice option as well as MobilEdit, especially if you have the cradles and cables.
