I'm relatively new to mobile forensics.
Has anyone had any dealings with Orange regarding CDR? Maybe someone knows who to contact at Orange for more information.
Essentially I'm hoping someone here might be able to answer the following questions, whilst I wait for Orange to correspond with me.
(a) How long does Orange normally keep connection histories ? (Do they have any business reasons to keep it for longer than the year specified by the retention regulations)
(b) How long would Orange keep this 'lawfully accessed and preserved' data for, be it either as a result of it being part of a closed investigation or due to routine system monitoring.
Any further help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

In response to your query only about data retention
To learn more about Orange data retention periods for customer account holders ask your client to ask Orange directly how long they hold call data regarding activity on her account.
Alternatively, Orange confirms to customers in their "read this first" booklet for pay monthly accounts how long they retain data and how a customer may access that data directly.
And published at Orange website and in Orange publications.
In short, Orange data retention period 24-months.

Thank you for your reply to my post and for answering my question about Orange's data retention period.
Sorry if it appeared as though I had done no research, but I think I've just been looking in the wrong places.
Thanks again for your help
