Can any one recommend a good OST to PDF converter. Ive tried Aid4Mail, but you have to feed them in one at a time and I have around 30 to convert.

Thanks

John

a4m has a command line version does it not? This could be easily scripted rather than looking for an entirely new application (which there are - ediscovery tools come to mind).

I assume you mean o********t. In which case pbobby is right there's a command line version of Aid4Mail called 'Aid4Mail Console', although it's not available under the 'Home' or 'Professional' licenses.

See license comparison here.

No PDF. We have a request from a solicitor and they want output in PDF. Yeh the version we have doesnt have the command line version, easy enough to use? Just before I upgrade, which we most likely will if it can do the trick.

Sorry - I'm always thinking 'o********t' so 'OST to PDF' looked weird )

Yes, the command line version is easy to use, and comes with a reasonable level of documentation.

You can try E-mail Examiner at http//www.paraben.com/email-examiner.html

You can easily convert multiple o********t in the batch export wizard and can even apply filters (keyword, sender/receiver, date, etc.) during the export.

* Nuix will rip through it
* P2 Commander/Nemex (as per the post above)
* Libpst (readpst) to convert to eml or mbox, the render to PDF from there for a free/open source route.

Even encase and FTK could do it with a bit of exporting.

I'm sure there's more

PST is a mail archive containing (usually) multiple emails.

I'm assuming you mean converting the individual .msg emails to PDF.

Any e-discovery/forensics platform should give you this option (Intella, NUIX, Xways Forensics to name a few).

If you have Adobe installed or Foxit then you might be able to print directly to PDF without needing to convert at all. Click 'Print' and then change the printer and see if you have a PDF printer listed.

X-Ways Forensics is an easy solution. It can break apart a PST file into individual .eml files and you can batch PDF print selected emails or all of them, with or without a metadata cover sheet for each email. I use PDFCreator for batch PDF printing with XWF and it works well.

There is another tool at http//www.arcpst.com (Owl Discovery) that is inexpensive and can PDF (plus do a full email search and production). There is also a free email tool at that site (Owl Analyzer) that I am using to double check the number of emails seen in any of my forensic tools to make sure the numbers match.
