Hi,

So another challenge in the field, we recently received a Q mobile e787 http//www.wateenmobile.com/q/q_mobile_e787.html which i believe is a Pakistani brand.

We are currently UN-able to read anything of it as it is protected with a pin lock.

We've tried most of mobile forensics tools on it, nothing worked..

any thoughts?

Hello

This is also the same problem with Blackberry phones which are PIN Locked.
If all software/hardware options fail then you might be required to do a process known as Chip Off i.e. desoldering the memory chip from the phone 's MB and reading data directly from it. It is often a destructive process.

Before chip-off, try to access the device through JTAG, SPI, I2C or similar.

Yeah, I'll try to run it through Cyclone box today and read the pin with BEST dongle.

Wish me luck , it should work though.
