Hello all,
I've decided to give Paraben's products a try and purchased P2Commander and Explorer. But I have a problem with getting anything from Paraben's support (
First, I am able to access the program registration data at register.paraben.com but I can't do anything at the other site account.paraben. com. What I get after inputting my login credentials is some sort of server message saying

Unfortunately it is the same site you need to login to access the support site O
I've already send an inquiry to Paraben's email contact but what the do is keep resetting my password which definitely does not solve the issue.
Do you happen to have the same problem with Paraben's account? Can you recommend some soultion?
Thanks in advance!
I find calling them is quicker than sending in email/webform requests, and most times the issue has been resolved immediately.
I agree with topsirloin, calling them during business hours usually amounts to immediate help and resolution. The online support is a little bit lacking.

Maybe calling the US from Poland is not as convenient as from the US….
With all due respect to all parties involved, a firm strictly connected with digital technology should actually have a BETTER online (web-based) support than an "ordinary" company.
And this even more if the target is the "world" and not the "internal market" only.
And come on, telephone support is so '90's…
…though of course….

Start a ticket, or email support@paraben.com either way will get fast responses. Agreed calling gets the quickest response. If you email and it needs to be a phone conversation, I'm pretty sure they would call you in another country to save you the money.
I've done both and both worked well. Wish I could get the product to work as well as the tech support….. ?
FYI - I've just received an e-mail answer from Paraben support saying…. they had reset my password…
Yet finally they noticed the login error, but their advice was to wait until it's gone by itself since it's very rare. Nice, very nice…

Yep, it's a known fact to happen on thursdays and fridays near the end of the month 😯 .
First monday of the month is usually a good day to login…. wink
Remember, it's .NET

I've noticed it's .NET but I don't think it refers to my .NET local copy rather to a copy installed on the server side.
I tried to log in from the laptop with no .NET installed at all and got the same error message - well, if there was no .NET on the comp it couldn't have generated the error 😉

Sure ) , the issue is clearly on the server side, I was just trying to provoke a quick laugh about the reply you got. obviously a program (even if using .NET wink ) either works or it doesn't (pretty much binary, 0/1 or On/Off) and whatever it does (or fails to do) is usually REPEATABLE.
I've rarely seen "self-healing" programs.
There is clearly an issue on the Paraben's server.
Guesses
- it is provoked by a "rare" case of congestion (too many people attempting to login at the same time)
- it is provoked a "rare" combination of your name/password (or more generally login data)
[/listo]
BUT since you had already tried several times (I presume at different times of the day) and also with different (reset) login data, BOTH guesses are seemingly to be discarded as impossible.
What remains?
And what remains that is a "rare" condition that will spontaneously fix itself without intervention? ?
Really cannot say, but anyway the answer/suggestion you got is simply "not smart".
What I would have replied to you (having my server not working for any "temporary" reason, and EXPECIALLY if I knew it was a "rare" case that would not normally happen again)
Dear Mr. Fraudit,
we are sorry that you were unable to connect to our web space.
The issue you described appears like a misconfiguration of a script on the server, we already passed the error you reported to our IT department.
The Emergency Response Team will look in the matter as soon as possible, we will notify you when the problem is hopefully fixed, please allow us a reasonable time (two or three days) to find the misconfiguration and fix it.
Thank you very much for the detailed report you submitted.
Best regards,
Ian M. Sneaky
Support Team
And of course I have no IT department, let alone an emergency response team, but this way, while still doing nothing, I make a far better impression to a possible customer…..
