First off, this is my first post, however I always turn here for a lot of answers and follow many of the topics. Thanks for all of the great info!
Now, to my question, I have Passware Enterprise 10.1.
Where I'm having issues are in the area of cracking Word documents. I could use some clarity in re the settings. I have tried numerous settings however I don't think this process should be so hard. Their website leaves a lot to be desired…any assistance or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Best.

Not sure exactly what you mean here by "settings" – if you know anything at all about the password, such as any phrases, yous hould use that as hints. Otherwise brute-force is the only way to go. Be mindful that later version of word, docx, use strong encryption and virtually (not that I know of) impossible to crack if the password length is anywhere over 8 chars.
I am aware of the workflow. all I know is it is a Word 97-2003 document. I will develop some assumptions the deeper I dig into the specific case.
My question was more geared toward a best practices starting point.

I also don't want to seem unappreciative…Thank you.
OK, further clarification, I knew 4 characters of the password, and Passware would not get the password. I know this because I had it validated and had another software get the password.
I cannot express my absolute frustration with this software. I spent a day, knowing the password, and could not get passware to discover the password.
