Perl/Python IDE

So, a few years ago I graduated from IBM PE to NotePad++ . . .

It is time for me to move to an …. ? IDE.

What IDE do you use for Perl and Python? I looked at Komodo for ActivePerl but $300 is a bit high for my taste.

I use, for personal purposes, the free Komodo version & love it. Clearly, for commercial use this isn't allowed, however, you can at least see if you like it …

On Linux, I still use Emacs, which does syntax highlighting just fine …

Eclipse gets my vote, lots of addons for things like GIT etc.

I use Komodo. I've tried a lot of other IDEs and keep coming back to Komodo.
