Long time data encryption company PGP on Monday unveiled pre-boot authentication to the PGP Whole Disk Encryption for Mac OS X. The new features are available for Intel-based Macs running Mac OS X Tiger and Leopard.

Greetings,

Given my issues with running PGP Desktop on OS X, I'm not going to trust my entire disk to PGP until the next release of the product.

I've been using PGP since V1.0 on various platforms and use it on a daily basis for volumes and email, but I'm also irritated with it on a weekly basis for a variety of reasons, mostly due to its integration with Mail.app, but also due to problems upgrading versions and removing older copies.
