hello, i am having a little trouble making pkcrack work, its the first time ive used it and i get an error 'not enough memory available'

I have my target password protected zip and my zip that contains the common file and my output. I have used the following syntax

pkcrack -C targetzip.zip -c knownpic.jpg -P testzip.zip -p testknownpic.jpg -d output.zip -a

I know its a long shot but has anyone used it and could possinly explain why im having no luck?

thanks

I've had problems if the command line is to long. You may have to rename some of the notable files to reduce it.

it is a vista issue. run it on xp, doesn't work on 64-bit either. did you have any luck cracking the zip?

Wrote this to the author of PK crack but never heard back (

Can anyone help with these two issues below?

I have two issues. First issue is I tried following your instructions by decrypting a zip file I knew the password to, just to see if I was doing things correctly. I got to the very end, and in the decryption phase, the file contained in the decrypted zip contained only the first line of the original encrypted file. The first line was entirely correct and so was the file name. Any idea why it would only decrypt the first line of the encrypted file? I used the same zip version here.

Secondly, and I suppose most importantly, is that the archive that I really want to decrypt (not the trial one above) I have no idea what version of winzip I used. Any readme on the web I have come across does not yield a proper version number that I can then encrypt a similar file with. Any tips here? Also, I do not have one of the exact files in the zip I wish to recover. Your Readme said I only need to know 13 bytes, and I'm fairly sure I have that requirement. I have tried to find the password using your utility and have had no luck thus far. My best guess is that I am zipping the file that I have with a version that is different than the encrypted zip.
