I wonder how you do that with a locked phone, with secure startup enabled ?!

hi,
this is just my procedure if the mobile phone is unlocked, but physical aquire is not possible via UFED4PC
without root and logical and filesystem option is not enough (social media etc. are missing)

I'm planning to try this method for SM-N950F (Android 8.0.0) roll

You'll loose your userdata.

The data is not important just want to test. I wonder how the EFT dongle is doing it. (Root without wipe) in these devices, cellebrite only requires Cas service. This is not very useful. there must be a solution to this.

Regards

For S7, you can use eng root if it matches the firmware you have and there is one for Android 8.0 as well . EFT can give mixed results. There are reports where it works on phones like S7, S7 Edge etc, but i had a friend testing it today on J330FN, with OEM Unlocking enabled, and it failed, producing "verification failed" screen asking for factory reset. Of course restoring stock boot made the phone fully working again and data was left untouched so that's ok. I had the same results on J710F i tried, although it could be partially my fault as i modified the boot image to also enable unauthorized ADB. Part of the problem, on newer devices is that enabling OEM Unlocking itself wipes the phone.
