Along investigations some cases are running and suspects are on the radar. Around this I question about Law Enforcement ware (LEware) to 'break' into Smartphones to activate a silent log for the - you may recognized my love for - gyroscope. Before final catch (PreCatch) this would
help a lot.
With having lets say two devices gyro logs it would be possible to 3D module and simulate actions, conversations, money/drug-handovers and so on.
For modelling this we in the lab defined that Mobiles in Transit (MiT) and Mobiles in Use (MiU).
So combined video captures with Mobile gyro with GPS data correlated would help even more.
The potential for this approach seems huge.
GovWare is exorbitant expensive. But it should be possible to buy a not-spy-based but just gyro data-based LEware should be affordable by a collaboration approach (any manufacturer of forensic suites can buy this and increase sales by having exclusive rights on it).
Who shares my view? Always open to be wrong - No Fear to Lose (NFLp, because NFL is already gone, so p for proprietary 😉
Besides the (failed) attempt to introduce a huge number of (unneeded) acronyms, if I get it right you are saying that from the rebuilding of the movements of a phone it is possible to determine if an exchange money-drug has taken place, distinguishing it from an exchange (say) of a chewing-gum with (still say) some mints? 😯
An interesting and promising avenue for research though at first sight a bit adventurous to bring results into a Court as evidence wink .
