Hello,
Does anyone know if there are known issues in connecting an SCSI320 VXA3 Tape device to a Tableu T4 SCSI Bridge?

i tried to connect it but even if the device is powered up correctly, the SCSI Detection led doesn't turn on and the OS doesn't recognize the device.

do i need any special configuration for it to be detected? or there's no chance of making it work?

can you not just write protect the tape? Then you wont have to worry about the tableau.

the problem is that they provided us with the tapes, the tape device, but no SCSI controller to connect the tape device to..

so while we are waiting for the controller to be shipped i was wondering if it was possible to use the T4 SCSI to USB bridge.. but it looks like there are problems, and i don't understand why.

considering that when you are asked to work on something, you are always in hurry.. like

"when has this task to be completed?"
"…fyesterday"

Are you using a terminator?

i tried both with a cable with terminator and with the cable provided with the T4 from tableu, but with no result.
