Procedure question on CP

if you come across CP images, couldn't you just use use triaging solutions to see what else is found and then compare the hashes with the database from NCMEC (http//www.missingkids.com/)?

That's what I was saying, if you're just joe q public at a computer shop, you aren't going to know about this. More to the point if you are a rookie and even some intermediate forensic examiners will never ever come across a cp case so how would they know what to look for. But a recommendation was call the police and let them sort it out, ya good for the person not involved huh, not so good if someone thinks it's you and it turns out to not be you.
