For those who may want to know what the cellular providers are charging to provide precision location data on a handset, here are the current fees.

Sprint/Nextel $30.00 per month with L-Site unlimited pings. Can send info to numerous email addresses or via SMS to numerous cell phones.

AT&T $100.00 set up with additional cost of $25.00 per day, but only will send to two email addresses.

T-Mobile $100.00 per day, but stops at midnight. This is not a rolling 24 hour situation. Can stipulate the start time in the Court Oder to maximize the time the phone is being pinged. (Tell them to start at 6AM and you can get 18 hours)

Location of Verizon handsets

Based upon RTT, because we all know Verizon cannot provide precision location data on their handsets. RTT can be generated by calls or SMS and there is no delay in their network generating this data. They can see it real time.

$50.00 set up fee.
$20.00 per Switch, but you don’t pay more than $60.00. If handset moves through 4 or more Switches you still only pay $60.00
$400.00 per month, but fee is prorated per day.

Frequent calls (Wow, isn’t that subjective?) for updates could cause fee to go up. This data once generated is not automatically sent to an e-mail address. You have to call in to have it sent to you through their secure portal.

Cheers!

Thank you. Do you have generic contact info too? That would flesh out the info quite nicely!
