hello again.
i have to work on a ps3.
i read many post about how to work on it, but i think they are to hard for me, or not forensic at all.
i removed the 120 gb hd.
with ftk imager i got 110 gb e01(in about 38 hours…)
it seems that there is only one big file, obviously encrypted.
do you know any software'plug and play' to get a full extraction?
something like working with ftk or osf on a normal hd, something easy for a standard forenser…
thank you

Hello,

1. Here are some articles on encryption/decryption of PS3 hard drives

http//www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/HDD_Encryption

2. A method to Mount a PS3 hard drive for analysis using Windows or Linux

http//www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/Mounting_HDD_on_PC

3. A link to an application to "read" a PS3 HDD

http//psx-scene.com/forums/content/3141card-updates-ps3-hdd-reader-adds-read-support-fat-hdds-3735/

4. You may need to "ROOT" the PS3 first

http//www.psx-place.com/threads/eid-root-key-dumper-by-flatz.299/

Good luck and please let us know what methodology worked.
